INDYCAR AEROSCREEN

When the IndyCar engineers agreed they needed to improve cockpit protection and safety for IndyCar drivers, the first windscreen prototype produced by Isoclima for Formula 1 - known as Aeroscreen - emerged as a prime candidate for development.

We managed to produce this first prototype by exploiting proprietary Isoclima cross-technologies developed in the aerospace field. The windscreen, bonded with a composite structure used to achieve an end product with unbelievable static and dynamic strength qualities, capable of withstanding the impact of a 1kg projectile fired at a speed of 354 km/h. The windscreen features built-in heating to prevent fogging, and a water-repellent film on the outside that encourages water and debris to slide off.

As a leading name in the production of windscreens for the motorsport industry, Isoclima is proud to contribute to driver protection and safety.
