At the Monaco Yacht Show 2025, Isoclima united global leaders to explore how advanced glass and collaboration are reshaping luxury yachting, setting a new standard for design, innovation and sustainability.
Monaco, September 2025 – Isoclima Group, the global leader in high-performance transparent solutions, redefined its role at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) by moving beyond product presentation to act as a catalyst for industry-wide dialogue and transformation.
Through its exclusive conference, “Advanced Glass: The New Language of Yachting,” Isoclima brought together designers, shipyards, associations and technology innovators to address the forces reshaping the sector; from evolving owner expectations to sustainable innovation and regulatory evolution.
“Sophisticated design, technical excellence, safety and sustainability are now united as the driving forces of yachting industry,” said Liviana Forza, CEO of Isoclima Group.
“With this event, we created a platform where many influential voices of our industry could exchange ideas, align on shared priorities and look at future trends and developments.
Advanced glass stands at the heart of this transformation: transparencies enable design freedom, dissolve boundaries between interior and exterior and deliver tangible advances in performance, comfort and sustainability.
What makes Isoclima unique is our ability to ignite innovation by leveraging cross-sector expertise, from aerospace to high-performance cars, from security architecture to armored vehicles, and channeling that knowledge into yachting. This capability allows us to push boundaries responsibly and shape a more visionary future for the entire industry.”
The conference featured leading voices including Carlo Nuvolari (Nuvolari-Lenard), Antonio Santella (Sanlorenzo / Nautor Swan), Lorenzo Pollicardo (SYBAss), and Elisabetta Poli (Isoclima Group), moderated by Giancarlo Perlini, Isoclima’s Chief Business Development, Marketing & Sustainability Officer.
The discussion provided a 360-degree view of the sector, highlighting the need for collaboration to address shifting customer expectations, technical challenges, and regulatory demands.
- Evolving luxury: The next generation of ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), increasingly millennials, seek authenticity, timeless design and immersive connections with the sea. Sustainability and environmental responsibility are now central to their choices. “Transparency is no longer just a material, it’s the lens through which owners experience the sea,” said Carlo Nuvolari, emphasizing how advanced glass enables seamless indoor-outdoor living and bold, modern yacht design.
- Shipyards adapting: Antonio Santella highlighted how younger owners are pushing for yachts that reflect responsibility and respect for nature. “They are rethinking traditional luxury habits, sometimes even choosing trains over private jets to reduce their footprint,” Santella noted. “This challenges us to deliver yachts that align with their values while still providing unforgettable experiences.” Santella also noted that this transformation adds complexity to yacht construction, requiring early collaboration with designers and suppliers to balance innovation, compliance, and performance. “It’s about translating bold visions into reality,” he said, “while ensuring safety, efficiency, and a responsible approach to how these yachts are built and operated.”
- Regulation as progress: Lorenzo Pollicardo explained that regulation, shaped by public opinion, is increasingly a driver of change. “Even though yachting represents less than 0.1% of global CO₂ emissions, public perception drives significant pressure for action,” Pollicardo said. “Regulation is no longer just control; it’s a platform for innovation, pushing us toward higher standards and greater alignment with society’s expectations.”
- Innovation as a Catalyst for Sustainability: Elisabetta Poli, R&D Director at Isoclima, emphasized how glass innovation has become central to both design and sustainability “Advancements like chemical-strengthened glass allow for larger, lighter panels and seamless, frameless designs that improve performance and reduce energy use,” Poli explained. “Beyond beauty, today’s glazing integrates functional coatings for solar control, privacy and acoustic comfort. Our Secur Solar Shield solution, presented at the show, cuts solar radiation by 50%, directly enhancing comfort and reducing fuel consumption.
Collaboration as a Catalyst
Across all themes, one message resonated clearly: no single stakeholder can address these challenges alone. The convergence of new owner demands, sustainability imperatives, and regulatory complexity requires deep collaboration between designers, shipyards, suppliers, and regulators.
“This year at Monaco Yacht Show, we chose to go beyond the traditional showcase model to lead a new kind of conversation,” said Giancarlo Perlini, Chief Business Development, Marketing & Sustainability Officer at Isoclima Group. “As a leading organization, we have the perspective, and the courage, to push boundaries, exploring new ways of collaborating and using global and prestigious stages like this to accelerate progress. Advanced glass is more than a material; it’s a catalyst for innovation and a symbol of how our industry can unite to shape a more visionary, sustainable future for yachting.”
The event concluded with an exclusive networking cocktail, creating opportunities for stakeholders to build partnerships and continue conversations sparked during the panel.
Showcasing Innovation: Secur Solar Shield
Alongside the conference, Isoclima unveiled Secur Solar Shield, its next-generation glazing solution that combines performance, sustainability and design freedom.
Key benefits include:
- Reduced solar load radiation, cutting onboard heat and improving comfort.
- Lower energy consumption, by reducing reliance on air conditioning.
- Lightweight construction, boosting vessel performance and efficiency.
Compliance with international class and flag standards, with patents pending in the US and EU.
Secur Solar Shield was also selected for the Monaco Yacht Show’s prestigious Blue Wake Program, which highlights forward-thinking innovations driving environmental progress. This recognition reinforces Isoclima’s role as a leader in responsible innovation, setting a new benchmark for sustainable marine glazing solutions.
Looking Ahead
Isoclima’s presence at MYS 2025 demonstrated how advanced glass has become the new language of yachting, transforming not only how yachts look, but how they are conceived, built and experienced.
By fostering collaboration and showcasing pioneering technologies, Isoclima is shaping a future where yachts are: More beautiful through design freedom and immersive transparency; More sustainable with reduced environmental impact and improved performance; More connected to the sea reflecting the values of a new generation of owners.
