CHILDGARD® Security Glazing is engineered with a proprietary interlayer designed to withstand forceful attacks, providing unmatched protection for students, teachers, and staff in K-12 schools, daycare centers, and other high-risk environments.
Certified & Rigorously Tested for Security
CHILDGARD® Security Glazing continues to raise the bar in protective glass performance with its latest round of testing. The product has now passed NIJ Level II-A and Level II bullet-resistant testing with no spall and no penetration, demonstrating its ability to withstand multiple 9mm shots at varying velocities. In addition, CHILDGARD® exceeded the highest level (Level 8) of ASTM F3561 forced entry testing, withstanding aggressive attack sequences without failure. It also held up to 17 minutes of forced entry attempts under ASTM F1233-08, Class 1.4, and completed 5-aa1 testing with similar resilience. These results reinforce CHILDGARD® as a trusted solution for school security and high-risk entry points.
