At Global Security Glazing / Isoclima Specialty Glass, we believe that meaningful improvement in school safety begins with informed design professionals. As part of our ongoing commitment to education within the architectural community, our team recently delivered a focused learning session for the architects at Glenn | Partners in Dallas. Led by Brittney Phillips and Derek Hubert, the program explored the evolving landscape of school security and the vital role high-performance glazing plays in protecting students, educators, and staff.

These educational sessions are intentionally non-commercial. While our team has decades of experience developing protective solutions—including early work with one of the first school-specific glazing products to reach the market—we approach each learning engagement from a strictly informational standpoint. The goal is not to advertise, but to ensure architects gain a clear, accurate understanding of the threats schools face today, the realities of forced-entry events, and the innovations the glass community has developed in response.

Because of our long history in this segment and our involvement in creating what has become the industry’s leading protective glazing platform, we are uniquely positioned to help design professionals navigate this complex topic. Our sessions cover how security glass is tested, how it performs in real-world conditions, how it integrates with framing and hardware, and how to specify systems that align with school district needs, budgets, and evolving standards.

We remain committed to being a trusted educational resource as more districts seek to strengthen their facilities.

If your firm is interested in hosting a session—or if you’d like to earn AIA Learning Units while expanding your understanding of school security glass—our team would be glad to support you.

Together, through informed design, we can help create safer learning environments for every student.
